Effect of different cardioprotective methods on extracorporeal circulation in fetal sheep: a randomized controlled trial

چکیده
Abstract Background Congenital heart disease is a leading cause of death in newborns and infants. The feasibility fetal cardiac surgery linked to extracorporeal circulation (ECC); therefore, cardioplegic solutions need be effective long-lasting. Methods Eighteen pregnant sheep were divided into an ECC-only group, St. Thomas’ Hospital solution (STH1) group (STH group), HTK preservation (Custodiol®) (HTK group). Markers myocardial injury including troponin I (cTnI), T (cTnT) creatine kinase band (CKMB) measured at specific time points (T1: pre-ECC, T2: 30 min ECC, T3: 60 T4: post-ECC, T5: 120 post-ECC). Myocardial tissue was removed from the T5, apoptosis detected by TUNEL staining. Results Changes serum cTnI, cTnT CKMB concentrations not significantly different among three groups before during ECC(T1,T2,T3). At after ECC shutdown(T4), cTnI higher STH than start ECC. concentration groups. group. shutdown(T5), cTnT, number TUNEL-positive cells There no statistically significant difference rate mean arterial pressure Conclusion better STH1 reducing release cardiomyocyte markers apoptotic Fetal receiving had advantage all indicators, which suggests feasible.

The effect of aspirin on preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction (FGR) in obese pregnant women : a randomized controlled clinical trial
Background: To evaluate the effect of aspirin on preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction (FGR) in obese pregnant women. Methods: A randomized clinical trial with 187 participants. Participants were allocated to either an intervention (aspirin; n=89) or control (placebo; n=98) group. In two groups, intervention was done from 13-20 until 34 weeks of pregnancy. Outcomes were preeclampsia and FG...
متن کاملThe Effect of Education of Fetal Movement Counting on Maternal-Fetal Attachment in the Pregnant Women: a Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial
Background Prenatal care is a good opportunity for evaluating and improving maternal-fetal attachment. In the present study the effect of early education of fetal movement counting in the second trimester on maternal-fetal attachment was evaluated. Materials and Methods 52 eligible pregnant women were selected through simple sampling and then randomly allocated into control (n=29), and interven...

Introduction. Impaired placentation and inadequate trophoblast invasion have been associated with the etiology of many pregnancy complications and have been correlated with the first trimester uterine artery resistance. Previous studies have shown the benefits of yoga in improving pregnancy outcomes and those of yogic visualization in revitalizing the human tissues. Methods. 59 high-risk pregna...
